All About Bergquist
 
This year we will be celebrating our 45th year as a distributor of equipment to the propane industry. Our founder, Karl Bergquist, became a Fisher distributor in 1963, and our first warehouse was a single car garage in Toledo, Ohio. Needless to say, there have been a lot of changes over the years. But our philosophy has remained the same, and we continue to supply both the equipment and technical assistance that our customers need, when they need it.

Today, we have 2 area distribution centers that cover more than 60,000 square feet, and we stock more than 12,000 propane related items. Our extensive inventory gives us the ability to ship 98% of our orders the very same day they're received. It honestly makes our day when a customer calls to report that the order he placed at 4:30 p.m. one day arrived on his dock at 10:00 a.m. the next morning.

 
Today's technology allows us to stay open virtually 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our inside sales associates are here from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, and both our 800 fax line and e-mail address makes it simple for you to order anytime, day or night. But that's not all. You can now order, check stock, and check the status of an order via our web site(registration required).
 
Our large inventories, spacious distribution centers, and modern ordering options all make doing our job efficiently a little easier, but our staff is truly our greatest asset. Our sales representatives are field trained as well as factory trained, and that's important because they know the flip side of business firsthand. They've marketed propane, filled cylinders, installed tanks, performed service work, and worked on the Bobtail reel in the freezing cold, so our equipment and our broad-based product knowledge is key to assisting you and all of our customers with repair parts, sizing questions, new regulations, and trouble shooting.
 
Yes, our sales staff is exceptional, but there's more to the Bergquist staff. Our shipping department is the best around! It has to be to handle the sheer volume that it handles everyday! Tons of equipment arrives and departs through our doors each day, and regardless of one's title, the Bergquist staff pitches in to ensure that each package is shipped in a timely manner.
 
Due to the location of our distribution centers, we are able to offer UPS One-Day Ground Service to all or part of 8 states as well as Two-Day service to 33 others. We have customers in all 50 states as well as in Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and South America, and we're proud of the fact that we know most of them by name.
 
From our support of various state associations, the national association, and our "Continuing Education Series," it is obvious that Bergquist is dedicated to the propane industry. And our continuing Education Series is open to all of our customers, and offers pump, compressor, meter, Bobtail maintenance, regulator, and heater operation education, not to mention our most popular "basic 101" course: Introduction to Propane.
